I lived in Italy as a child and came back to Melbourne as a five year old who could only speak Italian, which was hard back then but serves me well now!
I love the nostalgia of my Italian upbringing in Australia, which has made we want to connect with Italy more than ever as an adult.
I fly back to Italy every year so I can connect with my culture, but also experience new parts of Italy. I try a new region or city on every trip. Staying with family in Sicily would be much easier, but there is so much more to explore!

It’s important to be prepared for all the little rules! I can give you insight on what to expect so you can have a smoother and easier experience and a softened “culture shock”.
